Amy Winder fills us in about rehearsals for The Entire History of Theatre in 15 minutes...

At Gold company, today, we did not spend long on games because we were to lose three of our members to crocodile costumes and David Attenborough. We saw the fabulously in sync Greek chorus, before moving on the Shakespeare. We had to concentrate on moving and standing like Shakespearean actors and thinking about the characters would have said our quotes. We spent the most time on Modern Theatre, working on our song and deciding on a brilliant solo then the rest of us joining in. We worked on putting energy into the “Oh no you didn’t”, then spilt off to do physical theatre things in groups of two and three and ran through the recap with went surprisingly smoothly. To round off the session, we practiced some vocal exercise and played a game of mafia, in which I caught a member of the Mafia before being brutally pointed at in revenge.
