Daisy has blogged about her week

Yew Tree has been lovely this week. Starting with black company on Thursday, we read through 'Flawless' for the first time and it was great listening to everyone as their characters. I really like the play and I am especially looking forward to the Halloween party scene and seeing everyone dressed up as a variety of interesting characters. Then Saturday came gold company, the session began with Charlotte, Beth, Merv and Mikey running some games due to the unfortunate absence of Sarah's voice. A personal highlight was me winning two games of funky seaweed after a determined attempt to avoid the human seaweeds (involving a painful fall). Also Beth being victorious in ninja warrior which, with her being Beth Garrard will be annoyed if I don't mention this (there you go Beth congrats on your win) We played the bean game and Merv introduced the 'touch of sass bean' which as the name hints, is very sassy. After, we began to devise for 'The Sea' where we created two touch conversations set after we have boarded the boat. Me, Beth and Mikey created a short (extremely awkward) scene which was hilarious being it based on the British public and the general painful small talk used in these kind of circumstances. Afterwards we experimented with street cafe. Some delightful characters and situations appeared including a thief, street art, a Christmas carol flashback, a violent tripping up and so many other hilarious and lovely moments. We applied the conversations to the street cafe creating a piece which includes Bobbie and Beth's waltzing (a fab high school musical reference which I appreciated very much) a cute moment between Merv and Charlotte and more of the general conversations which set the tone nicely and also sets a good impression of the type of people who would board the ship in the play. We finished off with a game of mafia where I got murdered pretty much straight away (thanks Toni) I'm looking forward to continuing with Flawless and The Sea because they're both fab. I hope everyone has had a great week, bye!
